My Strength Comes From Jesus

This is the heart of everything-how I survived, healed, and continue forward with Jesus at the center of it all.

From Sepsis to Salvation

I’m alive today because of 1 simple reason, Jesus saved me—body and soul.

When my daughter was just four months old, what started as a common case of mastitis turned into something no one could have expected. The infection spread fast. A cyst ruptured. And before I knew it, I was in septic shock. I was rushed to the hospital, where doctors put me into a medically induced coma.

For 11 days, I lay between life and death. My organs began to shut down. My limbs were dying. It was one of the most aggressive and terrifying things my body had ever faced. But even then—when I couldn’t speak, move, or pray for myself—God was already fighting for me.

When I woke up, I found out that to save my life, doctors had amputated 1 of my hands, 3 fingers, and both my feet. I was now a quad amputee. The woman I was before sepsis—the active mom, dutiful wife, dependable person—was gone. Or so I thought.

But God, being the awesome God that He is, wasn’t finished with me. He had allowed my life to be spared for a reason. And little by little, I began to see that He was rebuilding me, not just physically—but spiritually, emotionally, and purposefully.

Through months/years of recovery and physical therapy, I relearned how to live. How to parent. How to move and laugh and cook and hold my babies again—even if it looked different now. And through it all, Jesus was with me. Every tear. Every setback. Every small victory. His grace was sufficient, and His power truly was made perfect in my weakness.

I don’t see myself as disabled—I see myself as divinely equipped for a new mission.

Today, I’m building a life I once dreamed of: I’m a wife, a stay at home mother, and the future founder of Saved & Sown Farm—a 60-acre organic and accessible homestead where we grow food, raise animals, and live in deep connection with the land and with God.

This isn’t just a story of survival. It’s a story of redemption.

I share my journey to remind anyone reading: Your story is not over. God can turn ashes into beauty, brokenness into boldness, and tragedy into testimony.

If He did it for me, He can do it for you, too.
